Raigad laterite bauxite
Our mine sits on the Konkan plateau in Raigad District, part of Maharashtra's coastal bauxite belt. Here, long tropical weathering of the underlying Deccan basalt has produced a layered laterite profile: topsoil at the surface, then laterite, the bauxite horizon, lithomarge clay and finally fresh basalt.
Mining works through that profile in benches. Topsoil is stripped and banked first for later reclamation, the bauxite horizon is extracted, and worked-out benches are backfilled as mining moves on. See how we reclaim the land.

Why buy bauxite from Minequor
India's bauxite supply gap
India already uses more bauxite than it mines: 28.3 million tonnes consumed against 24.0 million tonnes produced in 2023-24, with the difference imported. Production reached 24.7 million tonnes in FY 2024-25 and is growing by under 5% a year, while the national Aluminium Vision targets around 150 million tonnes a year of bauxite capacity by 2047, roughly six times today's output.
That gap between demand and domestic supply is where Minequor is building its business, starting with Raigad and expanding into iron ore belts across India.

Bauxite supply FAQ
Where does Minequor's bauxite come from?
From a 175-acre operational bauxite asset in Raigad District, Maharashtra, in the coastal laterite–bauxite belt of the Konkan plateau. The site has on-site crushing, screening and grading.
Which bauxite grades can I buy?
Metallurgical grade for alumina refineries and aluminium smelters, refractory and abrasive grade for furnace bricks and abrasives, and cement grade for cement plants. Ore can also be graded to a customer's own specification.
How is bauxite quality verified?
Each lot is sampled twice: at the minehead stockpile and again at loading. Final specifications are agreed per contract and confirmed by lab analysis.
How is bauxite transported from Raigad?
By bulk road freight on the NH-66 national highway and by port-bound shipping from the Konkan coast. JNPA and Dighi Port are both in Raigad District.
